Hauled to court

Just got a call from the jungle's court magistrate where i used to work last time to attend a court proceeding, so called "subpoena" . Was told that it is regarding an assault case which happened while i was working there. I guess probably to testify in the court or something. I had never ever step inside a court all my life so far. The jungle is in faraway land somemore...feel so lazy to go. I fear the attorneys might try to grill my balls or something lor..haiz. Or am I thinking too much? You know, seeing how the MACC lawyer performed in the famous Teoh Beng Hock case....What if the lawyer accuse me of lying and postulate the possibility of "the victim strangulated himself"?

May I choose to not attend? -..-

I'm afraid a subpoena means that there is no shying away. Just try to keep calm and keep your replies k.i.s.s. Don't worry, you're not the accused! lolz

@TZ: LOL...i was asked to attend proceeding and testify in court, nothing THAT serious would happen to me gua...Well as long as corruption, cronyism and racism exist, real justice will be hard to come by, sad to say.

@anton: Thanks..I hope so! I didnt do anything against the law! :P

You will be alright. Bring a friend along (if the friend is a lawyer even better). Keep the answers to point and minimum. Remember to say "I don't know the question" or "May I apply to get a legal adviser?" since in Malaysian Law context, you should have the right to do so.

Ya, do update or keep the proceeding minutes and papers.
